LITTLE HEARTS
HOME FOR MENTALLY CHALLENGED
Little Hearts home was started in the year 1994 with 7 mentally challenged children at Injambakkam, Chennai. Later in the year 1996, Little Hearts Society was formed as a charity organization at Panayur, Chennai and committed to meet the emerging needs of the mentally and physically challenged children and adults. Our work has progressed and our scope widened since that date. The society runs Little Buds, a special school for mentally challenged children. The society also runs a multi-category vocational center for mentally challenged adolescents and adults. At present we are serving at 5 districts of Tamilnadu namely Coimbatore, Salem, Kadapakkam, Panayur, Thiruvannamalai, and Krishnagiri. Our services address a broad range of needs for people of all ages in behavioral health, early childhood services, special education, health services and supports for a living. Good team effort, divine help and great support from friends and public have enabled us to care for many children and adults with mental and physical disabilities.
OUR SERVICES
Our efforts stem from an urgent need – to render a kind rehabilitation service to the mentally challenged souls who are neglected from the community and the society at large. This is the driving force behind all that we do, in whatever little way we can.
